Summit meeting of Geothermal Industry and Asscoiations / 36 nations represented at GeoTHERM / 46 percent rebooking rate of exhibitors
OFFENBURG. The GeoTHERM has presented itself as the leading event troughout the european geothermal industry. Experts from 36 nations have been gathering at the international trade fair and participating in 40 congress lectures adressing shallow and deep geothermal energy.
'Nowhere else you will find a comparable event, not in Asia nor in the USA', highlights Dr. Thomas Kölbel of the EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG.
The summit meeting of industry experts and associated presidents has become a tradition at the opening ceremony. Among them Dr. Burkhard Sanner, President of the European Geothermal Energy Council (EGEC) and Christian Boissavy, President of the French Geothermal Association as well as the Chairman of the Economical Geothermal Association Dr. Erwin Knapek, the President of the German Geothermal Association Waldemar Müller-Ruhe and Karl-Heinz Stawiarski, CEO of the German Heat Pump Association.
With the participation of 180 exhibitors from 14 nations (174 exhibitors from 12 nations in 2012), 3490 visitors (3477 visitors in 2012) as well as an enlarged net exhibition area of 2638 square meters (2439 square meters in 2012) the GeoTHERM registered new records.
All in all 36 nations have been visiting this year's GeoTHERM including North and South America, Asia, Russia, Africa and Europe. Dr. Horst Kreuter representative of the International Geothermal Association (IGA) underlines: 'I am thrilled by the international orientation of GeoTHERM year by year. This year we even welcomed visitors from Russia and Mongolia at our stand. The combination of congress and trade fair with high quality congress speeches perfectly meets the demand of the international geothermal industry, therefore we will be presenting our international projects at the GeoTHERM 2014 again.
The exhibitor satisfaction is confirmed by the high rebooking rate of 46% for the GeoTHERM 2014. Dr. Thomas Kerk representative of Weatherford Energy Services GmbH, for example explains: 'The amount of exhibiting companies and the high number of visitors has convinced myself.This is our first time at the GeoTHERM but we already have booked our stand for 2014 as this year was a huge success for us.’
Likewise Wolfgang Genannt, Chair of GeoEnergy Celle and representative of Hartmann Valves GmbH comments: 'We have been exhibiting with six member companies. And next year we will be exhibitng at the GeoTHERM again. Caused by the high quality of visitors I am sure that we will take four more member companies with us. Petra Karnebogen-Fuchs from KARBO Karnebogen GmbH decsribes the atmosphere at the GeoTHERM as follows: 'Everyone has been at GeoTHERM, our regular customers as well as new contacts'. Jens Möllering from Celler Brunnenbau values the GeoTHERM as 'the gathering-highlight in the business and the best networking plaform of all, very well organised'.
'At GeoTHERM you meet all players of the whole value chain' ascertains Rüdiger Grimm Managing Director of geoENERGIE Konzept GmbH. As well Volker Ulrich Managing Director of BC drilling tools GmbH confirms: 'The GeoTHERM is the place where business is done. We did very good deals here and registered of course for the GeoTHERM 2014'.

OFFENBURG. The seventh GeoTHERM takes place on the 28th Feb + 1st March 2013. 'Within the last seven years GeoTHERM has built up an excellent reputation as largest geothermal market place in Europe. It is amazing to be part of that growing and outstanding event. This is where business is done. GeoTHERM stands for an international community which is committed to the idea of geothermal energy and engaged to spread it. The numbers tell the story: Already in 2012, 3477 visitors and 174 exhibitors from 32 nations registered for today's largest trade show within the geothermal industry. Due to the steady increasing interest of exhibitors, the exhibition area for next GeoTHERM at 28th Feb + 1st March has enlarged.
On the two days of the event international and national high level experts and operators will provide a stage to discuss the newest scientific and industrial developments as well as current geothermal energy policies.
Europe's leading geothermal energy event will comprise of 40 lectures in two parallel congresses regarding shallow and deep geothermal energy. Besides several international and national speeches the Exhibition Center Offenburg is proud to present France as the guest of honor of GeoTHERM 2013. 'The French Geothermal Energy Association is delighted to present the French geothermal market with top-class speakers in the programme. This strengthens the close cooperation between the French Geothermal Energy Association and the Exhibition Center Offenburg', explains Christian Boissavy, President of the French Geothermal Energy Association.
'Supported by the European Geothermal Energy Council (EGEC) GeoTHERM is the place where the geothermal industry meets. And I am delighted to welcome Dr. Burkhard Sanner, President of the EGEC, during the opening ceremony at 28th February and Philippe Dumas as speaker at the 1st March with a lecture about the EGEC Deep Geothermal Market Report', points out Sandra Kircher, Project Director GeoTHERM.
Also Roland Horne, President of the International Geothermal Association (IGA), congratulated the Exhibition Center Offenburg on the successful event and its high rate of international visitors as well as exhibitors.

OFFENBURG. GeoTHERM - expo & congress, which takes place for the seventh time on 28th Feb. + 1st March 2013, has built up an excellent reputation. The geothermal energy industry is showing the variety of the branch broader than ever before in Offenburg. The numbers tell the story: Already in 2012, 3477 visitors and 174 exhibitors from 32 nations registered for the today's greatest event within the geothermal industry, which is a must in every international calendar.
'The continuous growth, the high satisfaction and the acceptance throughout the industry are the guarantee for a sustainable development' is highlighted by Werner Bock und Hanno Fecke CEO's of the Exhibition Center Offenburg. Due to the increasing interest of the exhibitors, the exhibition area will be enlarged for the next GeoTHERM.
Apart from Europe’s largest trade fair attendees can participate at two parallel congresses, bringing the latest expertise regarding both shallow and deep geothermal energy. Concerning the high amount of international participants all lectures are simultaneously translated into English, French and German.
Thanks to the cooperation of the French Geothermal Association and the Exhibition Center Offenburg, the GeoTHERM 2013 will provide an overview about the geothermal developments in the partner country France.

Europe’s largest geothermal trade fair with congress for shallow and deep geothermal energy
28th February + 1st March 2013, Exhibition Center Offenburg, Germany
OFFENBURG. With 174 exhibitors and 3.477 visitors Europe’s largest geothermal trade fair GeoTHERM, is now starting their preparation for next event which will be taking place at 28th February + 1st March 2013 in Offenburg. Especially the combination of trade fair and congress offers well-founded knowledge for research and practice as well as a perfect platform for exchange of experience and networking.
The organization of the congress program is in progress. Experts who are interested in a congress speech can send their short abstract to the congress committee via E-Mail to geotherm@messe-offenburg.de until 14th September 2012. The congress is committed to shallow as well as deep geothermal energy. At two days 40 congress speeches will be held. Cased by the high amount of international participants (at last event 32 nations have been present at GeoTHERM) the whole congress will be simultaneously translated into English, French and German.
